Pendant was originally laser cut leather that was then molded and cast into silver. A mounting was added to feature a lush faceted teardrop sapphire.

Textures gathered from leather designs I made many years ago when I was making work about the aether (the antiquated concept of the Higgs Boson). I collected what was left of these leather pendants and cast them into silver. The intricate, organic patterns evoke the flow and connectivity of unseen forces, while the texture highlights its transformation into metal.
